Natasha Williot – Drama Therapy
Healing Beyond Words.
Maybe you’re here because you feel stuck for no particular reason. Maybe your child feels out of control and you are exhausted. Or have you tried therapy but it felt… incomplete?
Whoever you are, all of you is welcome here.
I am a drama therapist. I guide spaces of healing for people who use more than words to express themselves through creative explorations. I invite you to connect to your Wild and True by playing with writing, stories, masks, movement, and creation in all its forms.
Whoever said healing could not be fun?
Drama Therapy with Children
Children naturally use the medium of play as a way to express themselves and to make sense of the world. This is a language many Adults have forgotten how to speak.
These services use elements of Play Therapy while capitalizing on the therapist’s ability to enter and guide role-play, imaginative play, and projective play.
Drama Therapy with Adolescents
Adolescence is a time of identity-building, physical and social changes, and developing autonomy. Questions about body-image, relationships, and identity emerge, and so does conflict with the family.
Drama Therapy with this group allows for your adolescent to expand beyond their patterns of resistance, withdrawal, or limit-testing. I encourage them to discover their own power, creativity, and capacity to be their own, unique selves with love and compassion.
Drama Therapy with Adults
Depression, anxiety, personality disorders, eating disorders, a history of abuse, systemic and intergeneration trauma, grief and loss… There are so many reasons an adult would start a therapy process.
My work with you will focus on finding ways to express your emotions, experiences, needs, and limits by connecting your mind, body, and spirit. This means emphasizing the person that you are, focusing on your strengths, values, and your embodied wisdom.
I am a proud Hufflepuff, multicultural Franco-Ontarian, and tea-lover. I’ve played the roles of caretaker, daughter, learner, educator, dreamer, rebel, artist, lover, wanderer, believer, and activist.
I believe in the power of Truth Telling, that stories are the best education, and that disconnection from ourselves and each other is the basis of human suffering.
